She numbed our dogs I did try to remove the stinger while our dog was awake. She was unable to. When we called other local vets about getting the stinger removed, all of them immediately said over the phone that they would have to put her under anesthesia in order to do ANY work on the eye. We were surprised that she would attempt to do this during the time of our visit with our dog awake and charge us for numbing her eye and the work that other vets seem to know was going to be nearly impossible to complete while the dog was awake. We called the eye specialist recommended to us by the vet and the estimated price for the work on her eye was $1,500 and two days off from work, because they would not do the work during the time of the initial consultation which means that we would have to spend two days in Salt Lake. Luckily a local vet was able to look at her eye using microscope glasses and develop a plan to remove the stinger while she was under anesthesia. We didn't go to the eye specialist, a local vet completed the surgery for $300.

They offered a bottle of ear cleaner to us, for an additional $30. We tried to decline, stating that we would get a less expensive bottle at a pet store. We were highly discouraged from declining the ear cleaner, and the staff told us that the cleaner had special medicine that we would not be able to find at a pet store. We found a very similar product at the vet that completed the eye work on our dog for $6.

Also your receptionist, Nancy, is such a sweetheart. She was so kind and made me feel very important and cared for. She is one of my favorite people to talk to. She greets everyone with a smile and really cares for all of the patients that come in.

Honestly, I wouldn’t have come back to this vet because of this horrible experience I had with Dr. Busch, but we still go because we brought our other dogs to

My roommate and I brought our dog here for an ear infection. We are both college students and let the staff know that we are trying to keep the cost of the trip down as much as possible.

Our dog has a history of getting ear infections during this time of year. This vet had treated an ear infection in the same ear in August 2016. We asked that because she gets the ear infection every year and because she had treated them for us in the past, if we could skip the swabs and just receive the medication that we had received last year. We were told no, they ran the swabs, and then prescribed us the exact medication that was prescribed last year. Another $30.

She found (what turned out to be a stinger) in our dogs eye. She tried to remove it herself, but couldn't and referred us to an eye specialist in Salt Lake. In the meantime she prescribe an anti-biotic for her eye so it wouldn't get infected before having the stinger removed. When we got home we realized that we had paid over $15 for what we thought was an antibiotic specific for her eye, but it was actually just triple antibiotic ointment; Neosporin. The bottle reads "triple antibiotic ointment and it has the same ingredients as my tube of neosporin at home, which I paid $1.99 for.

Long story short, we really appreciate that she found the stinger in our dogs eye. We are glad that we were able to find another local vet who is able to help us get that resolved. It is frustrating when young people can provide a safe, happy, and loving home for a pet but struggle with vet bills and vets do not respect this. Our dog eats grain free, gets her heartworm, and flea/ tick medication monthly, goes to the park every day. We truly try to provide the best life we can for her, and it is disappointing when vets do not respect this and take advantage of pet owners who are doing the best that they can.

I hope you will address this review to Dr. Busch because I was not pleased with how she talked to me and our new puppies. I hope this will bring change to your office.

When they swabbed her ear for the infection, the vet came back in saying "did you recently clean her ears? They are very clear." We told her that we clean her ears a few nights a week, especially during the summer months. A bit into the appointment the vet said "okay, I am going to bring her back and clean her ears, passively, not saying that the ear cleaning would be an additional $30 charge. We were frustrated because we had voiced our attempt to keep the cost down, and the vet had previously already complemented how clean her ears were, so we were surprised that she felt it nessacary to clean them herself during the time of the appointment.

Talked to this animal clinic for a second opinion. This is a wonderful clinic and they were able to help me with my concerns. I am going to be taking my business here for sure.

I was very impressed with all of the staff at the office. I felt like the genuinely cared about me, my dog and our entire experience. The vet took more time than I expected to get to know me and my dog and what our individual concerns and needs were. I am very impressed with what I have seen so far and am excited to work with them in the future.

The dr here was very rude to me from tge beginning. I took our service dog in for shots and was told how fat he is (boxer mastiff). The dr would not stay in the room long enough to even evaluate him. She came in and was obviously distracted by something as she left our room 3 times all while supposed to evaluate our dog and give one shot that only take a moment. She accused me of being a bad pet owner because he is 10lbs overweight all while she constantly fed him dog treats. I had to ask her to stop giving him treats one after the other as they will upset his stomach. She rolled her eyes and said that she wanted to see him again in 8 weeks. Im not taking him back thwre ever! We will find another vet.

Dr. Israelson and he provided the best care. He was personable and friendly. He treated all of our dogs like little babies and we could tell he loves what he does. This isn’t just a job to him. We have 4 dogs that go to him now.

I wasn’t pleased with Dr. Busch. She was very rude and not polite. I didn’t feel like I was given the best care. Dr. Busch told me my puppies mom shouldn’t have been bread in the first place. The mom didn’t have any health issues. Only one bad patella and the breeder was going to retire the mom if her litter had bad patellas. I didn’t ask for the doctors opinion. I just wanted to ask her how his patellas were and by the way, he had excellent patellas. That made me feel like, my new cute puppy wasn’t special and shouldn’t have been made. This wasn’t the first encounter we had with this doctor either. I brought our other new puppy into her two months previously. I was really hoping not to get her again after this experience. We brought him in because he had giardia. Before bringing him in, we treated him with panacur for 10 days. Dr. Busch didn’t even have a room for us, so everything was done in the waiting room and I was still charged for a vet visit. I told her he was diagnosed with giardia and panacur didn’t work for the 10 days. Dr. Busch told me he is most likely stressed and could be a food allergy. Our puppy wasn’t stressed and we never switched the food. What part of him being diagnosed previously didn’t she understand. She gave us metronidazole to settle his stomach, not knowing it was a key ingredient to treating giardiasis. I treated him with metronidazole and panacur together for 5 days on our own and it finally cured it. 3 days after our vet visit, she calls us saying the poop sample came up positive for giardia, shocker! She was only going to prescribe 3 days of panacur alone. We did 10 days and that didn’t cure it. So basically, our puppy would have been dead if we would have listened to her since he was only 3 lbs and had billions of giardia cysts in him.
